Community Solar in Action

This month we hosted delegates from the Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) Leadership Forum at our 7.4 MW community solar array for The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. The tour was led by our VP of Engineering, C.J. Colavito, and Corporate Counsel, Victoria Kelley.

We understand the importance of sharing our solar sites with industry leaders like these women from WRISE, to inspire and foster community connections. It also reflects Standard Solar's deep commitment to diversity in renewables. We look forward to sharing more of our terrific sites in the future!

Jay Smith, Director of Asset Management, has seen the engineering department grow from 8 to over 30 employees, supporting the design and installation of hundreds of MW. He is proud of the critical thinking, challenging environment and determination for excellence exhibited by team members โ€” all of which has made his time working at Standard Solar so special. Jay is looking ahead to Standard Solar's future, explaining that given that data systems, integrations and AI are becoming part of the day-to-day, the team is making strides to design data systems with the future in mind.
