Staying On Track
Scott Wiater talked with Solar Builder this month on what the industry can do to weather the current market disruption. As stakeholders face the latest challenge, supply issues and price increases, he discusses how Standard Solar and others can keep projects and the solar industry moving forward.
In his Renewable Energy World article, our Director of Development, Eric Partyka, highlights the four pillars to mitigate siting challenges. He also discusses good options for community solar projects - former landfills and agrivoltaics. With community solar projects on the rise, finding the right site is key to continued growth.
Learn about the alternatives to the Power Purchase Agreement which schools can leverage when going solar. Solar Funding for American Educational Institutions Part 2investigates all of the alternatives. In Part 3, Finnerty will discuss funding renewables through endowments.
The Lenox Community Solar Project we developed, installed and funded is New York's largest community solar project. It includes a 20 MWh DC-coupled battery directly charged from 17,966 fixed-tilt and single-axis tracker solar modules. The system is projected to generate 5,933.00 MWh in the first year of operation and reduce annual carbon offset by an estimated 264,931,764 pounds of coal burned.
Scott Wiater recently discussed the effects of the Auxin Solar tariff case with New Project Media. From higher prices to supply chain issues, he shared what he sees today and what the future might look like. He also highlights several states with solar-friendly policies and how those policies are helping the industry charge ahead.
