Standard Solar acquired the Lehigh University solar project from developer EDF Renewables North America, further solidifying the company’s commitment to advancing solar energy in Pennsylvania and educational institutions nationwide. This solar installation is expected to meet 100 percent of the Murray H. Goodman Campus’s electricity demands while offsetting 8 percent of the university’s overall grid electricity consumption.

Policy: MN Expands Community Solar Program

Our policy and regulatory affairs analyst, Trevor Laughlin, is featured in pv magazine USA weighing in on the Minnesota bill opening the state's community solar program to more low-to-moderate income (LMI) households, and expanding project sites from 1 MW to 5 MW community gardens. This bill represents a significant milestone for the distributed generation solar plus energy storage sector and heralds a transformative era for Minnesota.

Project Update: Catholic University of America

Construction is beginning on the largest urban community solar array in the area - The Catholic University of America community solar project in Washington, D.C. The 7.4 MW community solar project is being installed on an undeveloped portion of the 173.4-acre campus called the west campus and will help advance D.C.’s goal of reaching 100% renewable energy by 2032 and carbon neutrality by 2050.
