Standard Solar has selected Norwich Solar to deploy 6+ MW of solar arrays in Brandon, Berlin and Middlebury, Vermont. We’re pleased to forge a partnership with a strong EPC like Norwich Solar. 

Projects: Bent Bow, NM

We’ve acquired the 4.98 MW Bent Bow community solar project in Doña Ana County from Energy Management, Inc. The array is one of six in the county selected as part of the state’s Request for Proposals for Community Solar Projects initiative.

New Leaf Energy, Inc. is a longtime collaborator of ours and is the first to be spotlighted in our 20th Anniversary series PARTNERS IN THE ENERGY TRANSFORMATION.

“New Leaf Energy is proud to work with a great partner like Standard Solar to deliver clean energy to customers throughout Illinois,” said Ryan Bailey, Vice President of Development for the Midwest at New Leaf Energy, Inc.

Our most recent collaboration with New Leaf was for the acquisition of a 14-project, 84 MW community solar portfolio in Illinois. Thus far, Standard Solar and New Leaf have collaborated on 20 projects in three states.

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

As part of Standard Solar's 20th Anniversary celebration, we've launched a series entitled MAKING HEADLINES to focus on insights from Standard Solar employees in the news. 

Our first featured employee in the new series is VP of Engineering C.J. Colavito, REP. He shares his insights on interconnection issues, highlighting them as one of the most significant barriers to solar deployment in America. Here's a quote from C.J. from his participation in the Renewable Energy World Factor This! podcast.

"As a developer, and owner/operator, that's a golden opportunity because I would say communication between the developers and owner/operators is not great with the utilities…we have to figure out better ways to interconnect and integrate.”
