We gathered this month to recognize our team's hard work and resilience — we had a fantastic time and even posed for a photo (see below). We're also excited to announce our community solar + storage project in New York and our work with Baltimore City Schools to reduce their energy consumption and create outdoor solar energy classrooms. Read more news and information on distributed generation and community solar in this month's newsletter. 👇

New York’s largest community solar + storage project is near completion!
Community solar with battery storage is an extremely effective method for bringing the benefits of clean energy to as many people as possible while also transforming the U.S. electric grid. We are nearing completion on an exciting community distributed generation (CDG) project in Lenox, NY that our team developed, installed and funded. Read more here.
Thought Leadership
This month, our president & CEO Scott Wiater was interviewed by iHeartMedia for its "CEOs to Know" segment. Listen in to hear why he believes working in solar feels a bit like a higher calling and much more.
Graceland Park/O’Donnell Heights Elementary Middle School and Holabird Academy, the first net-zero schools in the urban Baltimore, MD-area, are now powered with solar energy thanks to the team at Standard Solar.
The Standard Solar team gathered for our annual company picnic this month to celebrate the great work we do together to help make our world a better place.
Community Solar
From Belle Plain to Mankato to St. Cloud we’re proud to be supporting Gov. Walz’s goal for 100% carbon-free electricity by 2040 in Minnesota. Funding solar in the North Star State is easy and, as a result, our community solar portfolio continues to grow.
Our latest edition of RE:NEW breaks down the numbers related to clean energy in Biden’s proposed infrastructure bill. We look at key goals, GW and EV charger stats, the ITC, employment, federal loans and more.
We have an opportunity to create incredible economic prosperity by transitioning toward a clean energy economy, but we must ensure those opportunities are available to Americans in every community. Clean energy can uplift communities and provide jobs that have been impacted by climate change.
Arizona’s solar industry is ready to create more jobs and help tackle climate change. We are urging our leaders in Washington to prioritize clean energy in infrastructure legislation so Arizona can continue being a national solar leader.
